SeaFibe™ Ingredients
Our SeaFibe™ fabric is a carefully crafted blend of:
– Seacell®, made from nutrient-rich Icelandic seaweed
– Tencel™ Modal, from sustainably sourced wood pulp
– Degradable elastane
Seaweed Cultivation
Seacell® begins in the cold, clear waters off Iceland’s coast, where nutrient-rich seaweed—specifically Knotted Wrack (Ascophyllum nodosum, for our fellow science lovers)—grows wild and free. No fresh water, no pesticides, no fertilizers—just the steady rhythm of the ocean. Every four years, the tops are gently trimmed, much like mowing a lawn, allowing the seaweed to naturally regenerate while keeping the surrounding ecosystem thriving. Harvesting happens in the remote western fjords, far from pollution and human interference. Once gathered, the seaweed is dried into a fine powder and sent to Austria.
Making of Seacell®
In Austria, the seaweed powder is blended with wood-based pulp from an FSC®-certified supplier. The entire process runs in a closed-loop system, where water, chemicals, and energy are continuously recovered and reused—ensuring nothing harmful is released into the environment. The wood pulp comes from responsibly managed forests, with a production approach centered on reducing water use and reclaiming resources at every stage. The result is a renewable, low-impact fiber that carries the story of careful sourcing and thoughtful design from raw material to finished fabric.
Environmental Benefits

We fuse the ocean’s wild energy in Seacell® yarns with the silky smoothness of TENCEL™ Modal—made from responsibly harvested beechwood through Lenzing’s closed-loop magic. This blend brings together nature’s strength and softness: breathable, moisture-wicking, and naturally gentle on your skin. A touch of degradable elastane gives it stretch and resilience, so your gear moves with you and stands the test of time. It’s a fearless mix designed to perform hard and leave a light footprint.
