For our CornFibe™ fabric, we blend Sorona® yarns with Organic Cotton.

CornFibe™ Ingredients

Our CornFibe™ fabric is a carefully crafted blend of:
– Sorona®, made from renewable plant-based corn sugars
– Organic Cotton

Corn Cultivation

Sorona® begins in the American Midwest, using dent corn grown through regenerative agriculture practices verified by Truterra®. This partnership helps farmers measure and improve their impact, enhancing soil health, protecting biodiversity, and capturing carbon, all while ensuring the corn meets the highest sustainability standards. For Sorona®, only the corn’s glucose is used, once destined for high fructose corn syrup, now repurposed into a high-performance fiber.

Making of Sorona®

In the U.S., the glucose from dent corn is fermented, much like brewing beer, in massive vats, then combined with PTA to form the Sorona® polymer. The result is a fiber that’s 37% bio-based, made from renewable sources. Soft, strong, and naturally flexible, it’s pushed through a spinneret (like a high-tech showerhead) into long fibers. At the molecular level, Sorona’s zig-zag structure gives it built-in stretch, while the process itself uses less energy and emits fewer greenhouse gases than conventional synthetics.

Environmental Benefits

Sorona® is made from sustainably grown, renewable plant-based resources, reducing dependence on fossil fuels from the start. Its production generates fewer greenhouse gas emissions, uses less energy, and has a smaller water footprint than traditional synthetic fibers. The result: a lower carbon footprint for every garment—without sacrificing softness, strength, or stretch.

Finishing

We take the renewable energy of Sorona® and pair it with the clean softness of Organic Cotton, grown without a trace of chemicals. The result is a fearless fabric—breathable, tough, and impossibly gentle on your skin—that performs hard while leaving a light footprint.
