Seacell™

Seacell is a cellulose fiber enriched with seaweed. Its production starts with responsibly harvesting seaweed from the Fjords of Iceland. The seaweed is washed, dried, carefully ground, then added to a wood-based solution in a closed-loop system, generating no chemical waste.

Seaweed comes from the Western Fjords of Iceland, Eucalyptus comes from European FSC-certified forests.

Why we chose to use it

Seacell is made using USDA certified seaweed that grows with no pesticides or extra water needed. Once every four years, our partners trim just the tops off (like cutting grass) to help clean up the ocean floor and stimluate/urge new growth.
